Is there a myth about pictures falling off the wall? Specifically angels?

Last night I was in my room and heard a huge crash.. My whole family went to the front room to investigate.. We saw a picture of an angel over two children sitting in the floor.. It had fell off the wall and when my grandmother saw this she started crying and I couldnt figure out why.. Any clue?
